History

History:

Northern Patriots in Research and Advocacy (NORPRA) was formed and registered in 2007 as a youth-led Civil Society Organization to undertake research, voluntary activities and advocate with poor and marginalized people in disadvantaged and under-served communities particularly those from the northern savannah ecological zone of Ghana for improved livelihoods of the poor, vulnerable and marginalized groups such as women, youth and persons with disability.

Since its inception, NORPRA, in partnership with community leaders, Community Based Organizations (CBOs), NGOs, sub-national and national government agencies and international development partners has been working to ensure that the poor in society would experience reduced levels of poverty and inequalities through increased access to resources and opportunities for the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
